This Shipping Policy describes how orders placed with BOXT Packaging LLC ("BOXT") are delivered, including delivery methods, timelines, and risk of loss. This policy is incorporated by reference into our Terms of Service.
1. Delivery Methods
Orders are fulfilled using one of the following methods, depending on delivery location:
- Local delivery (Wasatch Front): Eligible orders within our local service area are delivered using BOXT's own truck. Delivery windows and scheduling are coordinated directly with the customer.
- National / non-local delivery: Orders outside our local delivery area are shipped via third-party freight carriers.
2. Delivery Timelines
Delivery timelines vary by product, destination, and carrier and are estimates only, not guarantees. Local deliveries are typically scheduled within a window communicated at the time of order confirmation. Third-party freight timelines are set by the carrier and may be affected by factors outside our control, including weather, carrier delays, and destination accessibility.
3. Risk of Loss
- Local deliveries (BOXT truck): Risk of loss transfers to the customer upon delivery to the address provided.
- Third-party freight deliveries: Risk of loss transfers to the customer upon tender of the shipment to the freight carrier. BOXT is not responsible for loss, delay, or damage occurring after the shipment has been handed off to the carrier; such claims are the responsibility of the carrier and should be reported as outlined below.
4. Damaged or Lost Shipments
If your order arrives damaged or does not arrive:
- For BOXT truck deliveries: note any visible damage at the time of delivery when possible, and contact us within 48 hours.
- For third-party freight deliveries: inspect the shipment upon arrival, note any damage on the delivery receipt/bill of lading before signing where possible, retain all packaging, and contact us within 48 hours so we can assist in filing a carrier claim.
Delayed reporting may limit our ability to recover a claim from the carrier on your behalf.
5. Shipping Costs
Shipping and freight costs are calculated based on destination, order size, weight, and delivery method, and are provided at checkout or via quote prior to order confirmation for freight-dependent orders.
6. Delivery Address Accuracy
Customers are responsible for providing an accurate and accessible delivery address. Additional costs resulting from address corrections, redelivery attempts, or delivery refusals may be passed on to the customer.
